Sesi Australian Kookaburra Pocket Watch - Brass

This vintage-style pocket watch, featuring the Australian Kookaburra, has a case crafted from solid brass and the glass is finished with a finely bevelled edge. It comes presented in a felt-lined, rosewood box.

A true native Australian icon, the Kookaburra is known for its loud distinctive ‘laughing’ like call. Although from the kingfisher family, Kookaburras are not commonly associated with being water bird. Kookaburras are often mentioned in classic Australian bush poetry, literature and children’s songs: “Kookaburra sits in the old gum tree, Merry merry king of the bush is he, Laugh, Kookaburra, laugh, Kookaburra…”.
