When thinking of medieval suits of armour, the knights of the Crusades and the Norman Conquest of England are perhaps the most popular images that come to mind. Or maybe for you it’s the legendary figures of King Arthur and his Knights of the Round Table? And, of course, there are the recent additions in popular culture, the knights of “Game of Thrones”: Jaime Lannister, Brienne of Tarth, the Hound, the Mountain and co.

What a feat it must have been to fight for your life in these bulky suits of steel. While designed for defence, one imagines that the armour could also have been as likely to disable an enemy by blinding them with reflecting sunlight, as the accuracy of the knight’s sword or jousting skills!

One can also imagine what they would be like to wear: the metallic sounds and lack of peripheral vision; the heavy weight and upright, stiff-gaited walk they impose. The hard, metallic, not-quite-human exterior seems to predict the androids of the future. They were the Superman suits of the Dark Ages.

All armour products are made of mild steel, which eventually will get rusted  as it comes in contact with damp air, rust / corrosion  marks appearing makes it look, old, used and authentic.
